Getting paid by credit card
The Cloudy app streamlines invoicing for pet sitters by automatically generating invoices for scheduled services. Each invoice includes a payment link, allowing pet owners to easily pay online via credit card or bank account.
When pet sitters collects payments via the payment link, the payment processing company, Stripe, charges a small processing fee. See the Stripe page to find out the latest Stripe fee. Cloudy does not charge any fees.
To start collecting electronic payments, follow these steps. Please note, you'll need an existing booking in the app to proceed.
- Open the Booking Details page in the app. It can be a pending booking or a booking that you have accepted already.
- Select the Create and Send Invoice tab, which has a dollar icon, located at the right end of the tab bar.
- The page lists services scheduled for this booking. Select the services to include in the invoice. If none are selected, all services will be included in the invoice.
- Press Create and Send Invoice to create a new invoice. It will be automatically sent to the client. The client can use the payment link in the invoice to make a payment.
ⓘ The amount shown under the Total Amount column is what will be invoiced to the client. If your client already made payments for this booking, you can press the Edit Invoice Items button and enter the pre-paid amount for each service.
ⓘ Press the View Invoices button to see the invoices that have already been sent to the client for this booking.
ⓘ To see the payments and payout schedule on your Stripe account, press Invoices & Payments on the left navigation menu in the app and open the stripe tab.
