CloudyHow to pay your pet sitter with a credit card
If your pet sitter accepts Stripe Connect as a method of payment, you can pay the pet sitter with your credit card. With the Cloudy app, you can make payments without disclosing your credit card number to the pet sitter or to Cloudy. You will register your card to Stripe, which is one of the largest online payment processing companies in the world.
- On the left navigation menu, select Payment Methods and register your credit card.
- On the left navigation menu, select search and select a pet sitter with Find Pet Sitter Near You or Find Pet Sitter By Username.
- On the pet sitter's profile page, press the Accepted Payment Methods tab toward the right side of the page.
- The page will show whether the pet sitter support Stripe Connect.
- Go back to the pet sitter's profile page and proceed to book a service.
- On the Meet and Greet page, request a meet and greet if you have never worked with the pet sitter before. If you request a meet and greet, you will be able to indicate whether to proceed with the pet sitter or not. Until you press the Proceed button on the Meet and Greet tab of the booking page, your credit card will not be charged.
ⓘ Your credit card is charged every time the pet sitter completes a service in the booking.
ⓘ If the pet sitter does not support Stripe Connect but you wish to pay by credit card, you may want to send a message to the pet sitter and see if Stripe Connect can be supported. Also, some pet sitters have their own card processing terminal and you may be able to pay the pet sitter with your credit card outside of the Cloudy app.
